Online Ordering Finally!!

Well, it's been quite some time since I have last posted on our blog. A lot has progressed since that last post. Don't think I haven't attempted several times to actually write a blog post but, I always get hung up with what to say. Do I just write about the company? Can I talk about any personal issues since the company and any remnants of a social life are so integrated? But today I said I was posting come hell or high water, at least I believe that's how the saying goes. Anyway, U Gotta Eat is just weeks away from launching it's online ordering application with the help of a tech start up out of Pittsburgh. Students from Carnegie -Mellon University. They're some very brilliant guys and U Gotta Eat is pumped to have a strategic alliance with such talented individuals.

The online ordering application when launched will connect busy professionals who need delicious and timely catered meals with a variety of local restaurants and caterers, all through one convenient portal. This also makes it easier for the company's accounting team and reimbursement of meals seeing as how instead of an invoice overload from numerous restaurants you have one invoice from U Gotta Eat no matter how many restaurants and caterers utilized. U Gotta Eat will make the management and facilitation of your corporate catering needs effortless to the businesses and event planners of this Valley.

U Gotta Eat is positioning itself to handle the needs of an audience in dire need of some relief, busy professionals. With a decreased staff and increased workload, U Gotta Eat is making the load lighter for professionals in the medical industry, pharmaceutical reps, accounting firms, law firms, event planners and numerous others. We handle all arrangements and can cater our services to your particular needs since no two situations are exactly alike. Setting up a corporate account is free and allows us to serve you better by knowing your needs. We are constantly talking to our current clients to get feedback on how to improve our service and better meet their needs. You will see U Gotta Eat evolve based upon our clients needs and wants. You tell us what you need and we will see to it that it is accomplished.

We have more up our sleeves but first we have to get the online ordering underway. We are constantly looking for beneficial strategic alliances with other organizations and individuals trying to make a change so feel free to call us up and we can discuss how to make a larger positive impact on the community. United we stand.

Well I think I have enough for a post. That wasn't so hard. The online ordering application will be a huge boost to the capabilities of U Gotta Eat and will definitely not be the last. Stay tuned for more and don't forget to bookmark our website http://www.UGottaEatNow.com for the latest info regarding U Gotta Eat. Thanks for reading.

Let the Good Times Roll

So this coming October 21st is the 6 month anniversary of U Gotta Eat. Wow, what a rollercoaster ride it has been. With the perceived current economic crisis at hand you would think what a bad time to start a business. Believe me I felt the same way at first. A lot of times people have the tendency to look at short term situations and become lost in them. Remember the time there was that cute guy/ girl who you thought you just had to make yours or you would never find anyone as kind/ hot/ dreamy/ etc? Well either you're with that person today or like most people moved on to the latest infactuation. Human beings are quite remarkable in their ability to adapt to their environments. The point being, no matter how dire or urgent the situation it always got better sooner or later.

Things with U Gotta Eat started out slow, and not just slow but slow, slow. In these situations it's easy to become tangled up in the present and forget that tommorow is another day. We've picked up in orders dramatically from when we started 6 months ago and nearing over two dozen restaurants serviced in a "Down" economy. The thing is no matter your current situation never loose sight of that light at the end of the tunnel because it's always there. So we're going to continue to provide the Valley with top notch restuarant delivery and more variety because here at U Gotta Eat we like to say "Let the Good Times Roll!"

The, " I Don't Think" factor of Youngstown

As the owner of an innovative small business in Youngstown, OH there is one phrase that may be very familiar to you. It starts with three little words, yet these three simple little words maybe the one huge factor that has in the past and continues to be the demise of Youngstown's economic turnaround. These three words are, "I Don't Think". I have heard these words uttered from the mouths of many a citizen. Normally it goes, "That's a great idea but, I don't think it will work here in Youngstown". After hearing this on several occasions I began to look deeper into what these individuals really meant.

Since the collapse of the steel industry in this area Youngstown has fallen under a ever present mental rain cloud. This mental rain cloud for many has blocked out the vision of a brighter day. You see these three little words are the fruits of a bad seed planted over three decades ago on September 19, 1977; a day in Youngstown, Oh known as "Black Monday". That was the day the bottom dropped from underneath the city. Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co., one of the largest employers in the Mahoning Valley announced the closure of one of its largest mills, in one night nearly 5,000 jobs were loss. These seeds have hindered the growth of this area for decades and rooted a sense of negativity towards almost any and everything that tries to flourish in the Valley.

The thing is when someone says, "I Don't Think", what they are really saying is, "I Won't Let It". People have said, "I don't think it will work because of Youngstown", but what seems to be getting lost in translation is that the person making the statement is Youngstown. The city of Youngstown is not a separate entity, it is not a person who wakes up in the morning and reads the paper,it is a collection of people and their mindsets which each individual citizen makes up. If something doesn't work in Youngstown it is because either it was just a bad idea or because each individual which makes up the collective known as Youngstown would not let it work. The case will probably be a majority of the individuals reading this blog aren't the ones who it would really benefit.

So,the next time you think, "Geez, Youngstown doesn't have anything." also think, "Am I part of the reason Youngstown, doesn't have anything, do I support companies that I think are good for the area?" or do you just sit on your butt and complain why it won't work to your friends which in turn comes true because you didn't support it. Be part of the solution, not the problem. At least try something once and if it sucks don't use it again. There should be no small business in the Mahoning Valley that fails because no one tried it, it should fail for a good reason like it sucks, or it has horrible managers.

In closing I would like to say U Gotta Eat was started because we believe not only in the citizens of Youngstown but, we also believe in the convenience and ability of our service to help improve the quality of life for its citizens. There are a lot of great small businesses in this area that aren't factories or huge plants and they need your support too. By supporting these small businesses you also support economic stability because even if GM left, by supporting these small businesses now you allow there to be other employers in the area to hire people no matter the fate of one particular business. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, as seen on "Black Monday", support small business because together, "WE CAN".

P.S. - To the many people who have used our service and continue to do so we thank you. You are the future of our Valley. Continue to support "ALL" small businesses in the Valley. Thanks for your patronage.
